Professor Samer Humadi

Professor Samer Humadi works as a Consultant Surgeon in the Department of Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery at Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Professor Samer Humadi undertook Higher Surgical training in General Surgery in South West England. After completing his general surgery training, he selected Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery as a sub-speciality of interest. He has trained in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, Bristol Royal Infirmary, Hamburg, Bruges and Paris.

Professor Humadi is actively involved in bariatric surgery research. He has published and presented both nationally and internationally on various topics in bariatric surgery.

Professor Humadi is a member of the Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ALS), Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (AUGIS), British Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS), European Association for Endoscopic Surgery and Other interventional Techniques (EAES) and the International Federation of Surgery for Obesity (IFSO).
